Subic is one of the most popular destinations for Filipinos and foreigners who reside in Greater Manila Area. It has a lot of activities in store for those who just love adventure. Extereme sports in the Philippines maybe young but a lot of those adrenaline seeking individuals could surely get a treat in the jungle adventures in Subic.

Getting to Subic Freeport Zone is a mere 2-hour drive from Manila. Buses are also avalailable from Pasay and Cubao. And with the new Subic Expressway on development, travel time to this beautiful vacation hot spot would turn out to be even faster. Expect the ride to be a little rugged as some parts of Bataan could be curvy, well too curvy, so be sure to take your motion sickness pill. Transportaion inside the freefort zone could be really difficult for those who don’t have their own cars. They have vans right by the gates but this could surely be expensive as they charge 150 to 350 from one point to another. So a good alternative is to rent a car for the day.

There are too sides of Subic that people are after. The beach, not as beautiful as that of Boracay, but is surely good enough for those who don’t have a lot of time in their hands for a vacation. And of course, the jungle adventures in Subic which is for the true nature lover and adrenaline seeker.

There a re a few venues for jungle adventure in Subic. The newly established Tree Top Adventure is one that is becoming increasingly popular. These is right in the middle of Jest Camp, the traditional camping and training facility, and Extreme Adventure, a camp similar to Tree Top. At first, people could be fooled by big trees and bushes and might think that it is nothing special. But when you come closer, deep within the lush greenery is where all the adventures happen.

Tree Tops Adventure boasts of its 4 different jungle activities. Trekking, you’re more traditional jungle activity would surely be very educational. They teach you of jungle survival in this 30minutes to an hour activity. Groups could enjoy hugging humangous trees, learn how to drink from a bamboo shoot all, make your own forest shampoo and more for only 150 pesos per person. Be sure to bring your moquito repellant, as there are a lot if this jungle.

If you’re not up for trekking, why not sightsee while comfortably seating on a cable car. Well more like a cable chair as these are literally seats hanging on cable. There are different cable rides with various lengths and heights and you can ride them all for only 350 per person, good for 1 and a half to 2 hours.zipline

I know, you might be saying, where is the adrenaline rush in those. Well, now I would challenge you to ride the tree top adventure. Rappel down a 60ft. tree in various styles like traditional position, “Superman” position and the Australian “Face First” position. These would pump you up a little for sure and for only 100 pesos per person.

If you didn’t left your heart on top of the tree, try the Ultimate Adventure. Ride the zipline from tree to tree from 100 feet above the ground (or bushes). Don’t worry as the 450 feet distance won’t last 30 seconds each way. You can do the “superman” position or sitting position. I suggest do the superman position so could shout better as you are moving really fast. This is for 350 pesos and could last up to 2 hours ones all ziplines are complete.

The jungle adventure is Subic would surely be a good treat for those who want to go away for awhile from all the bustling in the Metro. So why not spend your next vacation here?
