Finding monthly apartment in Makati
Last month I spent a lot of time trying to find a decent apartment to rent for one month in Makati. It turned out not to be as easy as I first though, as most apartment owners only offer a minimum 6 month contract. I was not going to stay in Manila for more than one month, so that was not really a good option for me. I prefer to rent apartments from a rental office or company, and not directly from one person, especially if there are large deposits involved.
Anyways, after looking around the internet for a while and meeting up with some agents I got a tip from a friend of
mine about Makati Prime Tower Suites. It was way cheaper than anything I had looked at before, at only 22,000 peso for one month, and a 15,000 peso deposit wasn’t bad either. I’ve written a longer review of the place here on my new monthly rental website.
Living in Makati was quite nice. It’s definately much cleaner and nicer than Malate where I used to live before. Restaurants and bars are in general a little more expensive here, but it’s not that bad really. They also have real nice shopping malls here and the bars and restaurants in the Greenbelt area are really nice.
